About The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality - Book Description

From the Publisher:
In this thoroughly researched and documented book, the #1 New York Times bestselling co-author of Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry explains why the extreme leftism of an Obama presidency would leave the United States weakened, diminished and divided, why Obama must be defeated—and how he can be. THE OBAMA NATION Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality Barack Obama stepped onto the national political stage when the then-Illinois State senator addressed the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Soon after Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate, author Jerome Corsi began researching Obama's personal and political background. Scrupulously sourced with more than 600 footnotes, THE OBAMA NATION is the result of that research. By tracing Obama's career and influences from his early years in Hawaii and Indonesia, the beginnings of his political career in Chicago, his voting record in the Illinois legislature, his religious training and his adoption of Christianity through to his recent involvement in Kenyan politics, his political advisors and fundraising associates and his meteoric campaign for president, Jerome Corsi shows that an Obama presidency would, in his words, be “a repeat of the failed extremist politics that have characterized and plagued Democratic Party politics since the late 1960s.” In this stunning and comprehensive new book, the reader will learn about: -Obama's extensive connections with Islam and radical politics, from his father and step-father's Islamic backgrounds, to his Communist and socialist mentors in Hawaii and Chicago, to his long-term and close associations with former Weather Underground heroes William Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn—associations much closer than heretofore revealed by the press
-Barack and Michelle's 20-year-long religious affiliation with the black-liberation theology of former Trinity United Church of Christ Reverend Jeremiah Wright, whose sermons have always been steeped in a rage first expressed by Franz Fanon , Stokely Carmichael and Malcolm X, a rage that Corsi shows has deep meaning for Obama
-Obama's continuing connections with Kenya, the homeland of his father, through his support for the candidacy of Raila Odinga, the radical socialist presidential contender who came to power amid Islamist violence and church burnings
-Obama's involvement in the slum-landlord empire of the Chicago political fixer Tony Rezko, who helped to bankroll Obama's initial campaigns and to purchase of Barack and Michelle's dream-home property.
-the background and techniques of the Obama campaign's cult of personality, including the derivation of the words “hope” and change”
-Obama's far-left domestic policy, his controversial votes on abortion, his history of opposition to the Second Amendment, his determination to raise capital-gains taxes, his impractical plan to achieve universal health care, and his radical plan to tax Americans to fund a global-poverty-reduction program
-Obama's naïve, anti-war, anti-nuclear foreign-policy, predicated on the reduction of the military, the eradication of nuclear weapons and an overconfidence in the power of his personality, as if belief in change alone could somehow transform international politics, achieve nuclear-weapons disarmament and withdrawal from Iraq without adverse consequences, for us, for the Iraqis or for Israel. Meticulously researched and documented, THE OBAMA NATION is the definitive source for information on why and how Barack Obama must be defeated—not by invective and general attacks, but by detailed arguments that are well-researched and fact-based.

The one star reviews are written by poor souls who obviously haven't read the book.
So they try to skew the ratings down.
But everyone sees through them.
(If they could, they'd silence talk radio.)

The brownshirts are on the march in America and they come from the left.

Discredited author spreads more half-truths. Worth reading if you want some insight into how gullible the right-wing has become in this country.

More of the same mudslinging politics that tarnish every US election. Much is made of the pages of footnotes, however the biggest allegations (for example, that Barack Obama's father left his mother to observe Muslim law), just link back to Right Wing Blogs that make unfounded claims.

Don't support Obama if you don't agree with his policies. But keep it about that- the policies, and the real issues and proposals. Don't buy into this endless mudslinging that "casts doubt" on the GOP opponents with baseless smears.

The media has treated Obama like the second coming. I live in Chicago and advise everyone to read this book. It is a carefully researched study of the presumptive Democrat nominee.

Having failed early on in his own bid for the 2008 presidential race, author Jerome Corsi has found time to piece together this collection of hateful disinformation. This guidebook of scare tactics arrives just in time for the fall election. Preying upon voters' fears and prejudices is one way to help McCain, but Corsi would have done well to stick to the facts if he wants to have any credibility at all as an author. Instead, he spends page after page trying to persuade the reader that Barack Obama is the boogie man: some kind of vaguely foreign-sounding, dark-skinned guy with good public speaking skills (and after all, George W. Bush didn't need good public speaking skills to become president.) Corsi continues to beat a dead horse when he claims that Obama is a Muslim (Obama is actually a Christian.) If the author is some kind of expert on the candidates' personal religious beliefs, perhaps he could explain why McCain recently changed his religion from Episcopalian to Baptist.
Jerome Corsi is the same man who brought a new low to politics by introducing the notorious "Swift Boat" attacks on John Kerry's Vietnam record. At least Kerry served in Vietnam. Mr. Corsi dodged the war due to eczema. Eczema! He's in good company - there's a proud tradition of hawkish Republicans who avoided Vietnam military service with similar medical issues. Rush Limbaugh said that he had "pilonidal cysts" (in the buttock region), Ken Starr had psoriasis, and Pat Buchanan had arthritis in his knees (which didn't prevent him from jogging.) Honorable mention: Bill O'Reilly's non-service despite being of draft age, Bush serving on the front lines of Texas, and the fact that Cheney "had other priorities in the '60s than military service." John McCain must secretly hate some of his fellow Republicans.
By the way, it's worth noting that author Jerome Corsi is a big advocate of a theory known as "abiotic oil production." It's a belief that the earth naturally produces an endless amount of oil. He doesn't believe that oil is a fossil fuel or in limited supply. Corsi's beliefs on this matter run contrary to all known information on the subject. If the author of "Obama Nation" would have you believe this, then it certainly doesn't speak well for his credibility on anything else.
If you're looking for factual-based information on this year's political candidates, Jerome Corsi's writings are definitely the last place to look.
