I'm a slightly fanatic fan of Deen Koontz's books, but this one was a great disappointment. I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the reviews and descriptions, just thought it was the next in the Odd Thomas series, but I was grossly disappointed to find it is a comic book with black-and-white drawings and balloons for the dialogue. I found it very frustrating to read.
In addition, it's a pedestrian tale set in time before the first two Odd Thomas books, with the thinnest possible plot line and none of the nuance we expect from Koontz. Unless you find it hard to read books with no pictures, skip this one and wait for the next real Koontz to come out!
